I don't really have a specific preference, as long as they're not too small, and not brass

I had a Gibson LP Special SL with brass frets, they wore horribly. Only guitar I've ever had that had them, and they became unplayable really quick. When I sold it, it was needing it's 2nd fret job, GC wouldn't even take it and looked at me like I was crazy😬 Those things just don't last

Okay, I couldn’t handle the tiny frets on the neck of my Hadean Telecaster, I’m going to put a replacement neck on it and hope that the frets are better.

I've heard good things about the bodies & necks from GFS. A lot of people have issues with necks fitting properly though, from any vendor. You might have to shim it. I've never bothered replacing necks on my bolt-ons though so I've got no experience to go on
I’ve bought replacement necks from GFS and Dragonfire, and they all improved the playability of the guitars I’ve put them on.
I’m still debating whether I should change out the neck, tho. I’m very curious what the replacement neck will feel like. The GFS necks I’ve used were from a different batch then GFS’s latest batch of necks.
When I was having problems with the small frets on my Tele, I had just gotten out of the shower and my hands were kind of damp. Since my hands weren’t completely dry, I was having problems with my fingers dragging on the fretboard.
That might have been the problem with my playing, instead of the small frets.
Well, I was thinking of not putting the GFS neck on when I got it, but I couldn't resist. And it definitely is a better neck; better frets, a glossy finish (which I prefer), and it feels rounder, with a less flat fretboard radius. It was a very tight fit in the neck pocket, I could barely get it in there without a lot of elbow grease. And it's not perfectly straight, there's more fretboard real estate for the strings on the bass side than the treble side.
But it feels just as good (if not better) than the stock neck. And I like the more Tele-like headstock.
