New forum software, or keep Vanilla?

What say you, single other user of deathmetal.me?

I like the simplicity and general setup of Vanilla, especially the admin console, but there's not a lot of readily available plugins for extra functionality. Others like phpBB, myBB, etc have more readily available plugins/themes/etc. Themes/styling aren't a big deal, I can do that myself, but I'm not a PHP user so I can't write my own plugins for Vanilla. I could also switch to a Python-based forum software, but the ones I've found are too bloated and I don't really like them, and I don't have enough free time to code an entire forum system. Also I'm not paying for proprietary ones like Xenforo or VBulletin.

Have you used any forums in particular that you liked better than others?
