I'm kind of a fan of less punchy drums like these for certain types of music, especially in minimal electronic stuff where you're not forced to try to make it punch through the vocals, or anything without a lot going on. It gives it a lot more of a relaxed vibe to me. It's a subtle difference, but it affects the overall texture
